Melissa L. Baker, AIA
Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the profession and industry. She created Foothills Architects Ltd. in August of 2022 after Phil Gerou’s retirement from Gerou & Associates Ltd. to continue to provide thoughtfully designed solutions and livable spaces unique to each client.
Melissa joined Gerou & Associates in the spring of 2008 and brought with her five years of high-end residential design expertise. Melissa expanded the firm’s capabilities in residential and commercial design and 3D visualization. Her design expertise is evident in many of the firm’s residential projects as well as hotel/convention projects in Denver and Greeley, Colorado and in Casper, Wyoming.
Originally from Louisville, KY, Melissa moved to Colorado in 2002 and started her career working in a small residential firm in Boulder. Her background in both hand drafting and computer technologies quickly elevated the firm’s construction drawing capabilities. ________________________________________________________
In addition to her ‘day job’, Melissa has served as President of the Conifer Chamber of Commerce, on the Conifer Area Council and currently sits on the Board of Elk Creek Fire Protection District. In addition, she continues to coordinate the Elevation Celebration and Conifer Christmas Parade for the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce every year.
