Suburban Kitchen Upgrade

This home was built in the late 1980’s when home design focused on the function of each space individually. The kitchen was central to the house, but cut off from the main living areas and resulted in being an obstacle for the homeowners and their family.

The main goal of the re-design was to open up the gathering spaces, allowing for a better flow throughout the home. The design opens the dining room and front door to the kitchen and gives these homeowners a large pantry and coat-cubby space for their family. By removing the walls surrounding the existing kitchen and re-working the layout of the space, the homeowners were able to see the true potential of their home.
